What Are Locs?
Locs (aka dreadlocks) are a permanent hairstyle where your natural hair coils, knots, and binds over time into individual strands that grow and mature with you.
They work across all textures and can be started through twists, coils, or braids depending on your hair type.

FAQ
How often should I come in for maintenance?
For Loc Re-Twist clients, every 4–8 weeks. For Interlocs, every 8–12 weeks. The right frequency depends on your growth rate and personal preference.
What is the difference between re-twisting and interlocking?
Palm-rolling (retwist) wraps new growth around the loc and works for most curl types. Interlocking uses a tool to knot the root together — holds even when wet, ideal for active clients and fine hair textures.
Why is a consultation required for Starter Locs?
The foundation of your locs matters enormously. We assess your hair type, density, and lifestyle to choose the right method and parting pattern so your locs are built to last from day one.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
For Locs retwist and interlocs, come with your hair in its natural state, and avoid heavy oils or creams the day of. You do not need to pre-wash; we include a double clarifying cleanse in every service.
How long will my appointment take?
Re-Twist and Interlocs services are 2.5 hours and up, depending on hair length and density. Starter Locs vary by the number of sections. We will estimate your time at consultation.
